Principal’s Message

Welcome to Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School Cabramatta, a three-stream co-educational Catholic school servicing Cabramatta and the surrounding suburbs.

Sacred Heart has a culture of continuous improvement based on the principles of shared decision-making and teamwork. As a community of learners, we are committed to working together to guide and support each of the students in our care to reach their very best. This is achieved by building a safe, inclusive, and secure learning environment in which all children can develop a sense of belonging and wellbeing.

We are guided by the traditions and beliefs of the Catholic church and we are deeply committed to our mission; with the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we journey together as a diverse, hope-filled community learning for the future.

As principal of Sacred Heart, I am immensely proud of our people, our programs, and our continual progress. I believe that it is a combination of the people in our community, students, parents, and staff that make a difference in the educational outcomes of our students.

Sacred Heart is a wonderful school and I invite you to explore our new and exciting website. I welcome the opportunity to provide more information about our school and facilities. Please feel free to visit our school for enrolment information and or phone the office to make an appointment to meet me.

God bless,

Mr David Parawa
Principal

History
Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School Cabramatta
was established in 1935 by the Sisters of Charity. Since the 1940s our school has grown in its cultural diversity, first with immigrant families and students from southern and eastern Europe and later from South America and Southeast Asia.

Charism
The founding charism developed by the Sisters of Charity is further expressed through the Sisters of Our Lady of the Southern Cross who make present the contemporary witness of  religious life. Our students continue to be nurtured in this rich tradition promoting a passion for life, a commitment to justice and charity and the courage to live out our school’s motto to ‘Learn of Me’ through the example of Jesus.

Mission
With the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus we journey together as a diverse, hope-filled community learning for the future.

Vision

  • LOVE: As we learn of Jesus we celebrate as a community guided by the Sacred Heart in the spirit of love reaching out in justice and charity.
  • HOPE: As we learn of Jesus we journey as a community guided by the Sacred Heart with a spirit of hope making a difference for the future.
  • LEARN: As we learn of Jesus we are inspired as a community guided by the Sacred Heart to be empowered as creative and innovative learners.

Values
We promote an approach to life that is Christ-centred reflecting our school motto ‘Learn of Me’. In this, we aim to develop in our community the Gospel values of respect, acceptance, truth, justice, charity, cooperation and peace.

Sacred Heart Parish of Cabramatta has a close association with our school and together we promote an approach to life that is Christ-centred.
